International Coffee Morning
Thursday the 30th of September saw the return of a MUCH anticipated event – our International Coffee Morning! Due to restrictions in place, we have dearly missed events such as these. At Foshan EtonHouse, we truly consider ourselves an international family. As the first British international school in Foshan, one of our greatest strengths is in bringing people together from all over the world.
Today we were allowed to do just that, where it was such a great pleasure to welcome our families back onto the school site (of course adhering to all local regulations) and have that most dearly missed face to face contact yet again.
The room was abuzz with excitement, from adults and children alike, all of whom where there to enjoy the delightful goods produced by the families of FEIS. We saw delicious items from around the world served this morning, too many to list, so we will let the photos do the talking!
A HUGE thank you to our wonderful Parent Link Group, who worked tirelessly to put this event together after such a long hiatus, and of course a big thank you to each and every parent who supported, be it by cooking, serving, assisting or attending. We are pleased to announce that we raised over 16,000 RMB for charity!
All of the proceeds from this event will go to a fantastic charity named Hopeful Hearts. This is a non-profit charity run by local and expatriate volunteers. Hopeful Hearts aim to raise awareness and funding in order to provide life-saving heart surgeries for children of low-income Chinese families; a truly noble cause indeed.
